| SNAKES ON A PLANE! |
[02 May 2006|05:11am] |
Yaaay! I'm leaving in...soon..(now) for the airport to go and visit starz_13 for the week! In which we will be going to Anime Central and stuff.
I'm on like 1 and a half hours of sleep, cause I was up finishing all the machine stitching on this blouse to wear. Not really cosplaying, just wearing a lot of froofy EGA inspired things (read:Froofy silly things)
I packed everything in one suitcase! For a con, + some! AMAZING.
So uh....see ya'll later. Haha.
Chris and Ann are awesome too. Have fun at the concert you guys.
Who seriously wishes to buy a Rubber Snake and plead an Ishida cosplayer to pose with it, Tanny.

Every now and then, I pause and actually comprehend how wonderful and blessed this life is. This family is. And any day everything could be torn apart.
But I suppose that's some of the beauty.
I can't stop whatever lies ahead, but I can value this time of health, happiness and healing.
...Yeah.
You guys are a part of that too. Don't doubt it.

Ever make up a whole plan for your night and go out of your way to get the things to make it awesome; only to discover upon sitting down that you're actually rather tired and you'd rather just snooze?
Yeah. In any case, I've got Breakfast On Pluto waiting for me tomorrow night. After work and sewing-ness. Yaaaaaaaaay Cillain Murphy! :3
I told Tosh-Tosh I'd go kill some heartless so I could raise money for his cosplays. But then I started to wonder
Where do all these monsters keep this money the drop? Crystals and shards and potions I can understand. But money?
I got my hair re-braided. Now it's constantly falling into my mouth instead of my eyes. Smart.
One of the managers at work is leaving. Her husband's in the Marines and he's getting station in Japan. She was really cool, always had a good sense of humor. :/ Work's not going to be as fun without her. Hope things go well for her family though. ^_^
This post is horribly disjointed. Sorry...^^:;; *off to bed*

Otakon Hotel info again:
I found another hotel that's not booked to oblivion. It's around 197 a night.
The Catch: It's a little over a mile away from the convention center (Near the Raven's stadium or something...)
Parking is like...yeeaaahhhh.
But for 200 less, I'd grit with the communiting. (...I really don't want to walk a mile with wings strapped to my back. ^^;;)
Opinions? I guess I'll be calling people and poking them about this so I can book soon and be done with it.
Free breakfast too, so we can like go down and raid the little placae and bring back our winnings!!!
---
Well in other news, my mom went to a Mystery Book Convention over the weekend. She had a great time and was like "Holy crap, now I understand why you're dead at the end of the con." She got a bunch of nifty stuff including a bag of free books. Man.
And she met Charlaine Harris.( author of the Sookie Stackhouse series) AGHAOU. SO COOL.
The whole family's going to Las Vegas in August for the Star Trek convention there.
Yep. We're like a bunch of uber-nerds. Dinner last night was spent ranting over upcoming movies. Ahaha
They're making a Dead Or Alive movie. It's like Charlie's Angels meets Mortal Kombat 2. SO AWESOMELY BAD.

Scenes from work:
Tanny: doot, doot, doot *wanders to put back some ribbon* Ellen(manager!): ....o_O Tanny: ...? Ellen: Your apron's on backwards. (Welcome to s'nnAoJ!) Tanny: D: It is. Ellen: *chuckles* Tanny: That's the second time today! *struggles to untie* D:! D:! Ellen: I think it's cute...*walks off, amused*
D: I am a special girl.
Well, that's the most exciting thing that's happened all week. I bought three books which I shouldn't have, but god, BOOKS. YES. UGH. And fabric to make the shirt for my froofy EGA Prince thingy. I wish I could think of a jaunty hat to crown the outfit, but alas, it does not work. ;o;
Dinner tonight with the Old Married Couple (Chris/Ann), at TGIFriday's. My hair smells of smoke. Smmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmoooke.

Happy Easter, for those of you who are celebrating.
Things seem to be on the upswing for the flist as a whole. That's really good to see. Though finals are coming up for a lot of people soon. Waaugh, it'll be over after that! Hang in there.
Not much too say otherwise, things have been pretty mundane.
Oh, right-generally wondering.
In movies do you:
A) Like knowing who the main actors are B) Like to generally have a unknown cast. c) Don't care. XD
Known as in- you think of the actor's name more than the character's.

Ahaha, just adding to the host of Axel fans running amok. lololololz. *bricked*
Finished KH2 ten minutes ago. Yeah. That was awesome and ridiculously pretty. :3 Now I'm gonna go back to ICO and finish that before doing Proud Mode to get the secret ending...Man, talk about a total shift in tone. Haha. ICO is no wear near as shiny, but just as awesome.
Um...yeah...
We got new vacuums at work. It's sad to say how much this entertains me. Though the two new ones this week aren't as shiny as the one from last week. Last week's was oooo sleeeeeeekk...but it didn't suck very well. D: All talk, no walk, dude.

That was almost scary. Chrisu reminded me about Otakon, so I went to finally go and book the room. Hell, this is early for me. I usually wait until like...May....
o_O;; I'm flipping glad I didn't.
Everything's sold out! Of course the con blocks are, but so is all of the main hotels.
O_O;;;
I managed to book at room at the Renaissance Harborplace for $319 a night; with 1 King bed or 2 Queens. This was just so if anything there would be a room. It looks like it'll be around $180/per person if we have at least 6 in the room. Ach. >.o;
You're darn right I'm going to keep checking the other hotels for cancellations.
( But just to check, who's in? )

Aw man. x_X. You know when you're sick, but you're not sick enough to be constrained to bed? Just enough to make you feel all blah. Yeah. Sucks doesn't it? c_C;
I tried to sign up for classes at NOVA today. I have to be a full time student or I get kicked off the insurance..and uh...I kinda need that right now. o_o; I was going to sign up for drawing, but the class is 5 hours long, since it only meets once a week. Right now I've got a Intro to Business and an Intro to Accounting. I have to go to the campus to sign up for Creative Writing, because I don't have the pre-reqs for it and I had to get the teacher's written approval for it. He's a crazy old guy. Seems like it'll be a good class.
I've been making some pants....Hopefully I'll have a new EGA outfit to wear to Acen. :3 It'll be froofy. Let me tell you.
Hana-Kimi's been killing me. I bought vol. 11 last week and I aguha, Sano! Make a move!!! *pushes him*
Oh haha.
It took Sephiroth 7 seconds to kill me. (lvl. 50) In which I got in one hit and one cura. (pretty decent...) Then I rolled around LOLing after Sora died. (er...) c_c;; Sorry Sora.

Uploaded Utada Hikaru-Passion for a friend. It kicks much ass.
Here's the link in case anyone else wanted it: http://s45.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0KCMH5WTQXHIQ2AD8R7KF73A47
Though you might suffer from Severe Repeat Syndrome XD
Nothing else to really report. I waved a flag at the boy, and he noticed. That alone is a first, so I'm pretty pleased. He didn't run away screeching either so, heh. Good.
Mom's developed a habit of smacking me with her Mallet O' Reality every time I feel like I've climbed back up to steady ground. I suppose this is necessary but..argah...
XD Everyone's ahead of me in KH2. Haha. Axel is still love. I like Kairi more in this one...

I AM CRAB. |
] |
I visited the dentist two weeks back and he told me the standard "Think about getting your wisdom teeth out". This seemed to be a magical cue to my teeth to start ravaging my mouth; and in the past two days it's hurt to eat. For a couple of days it was one side, and this morning it was both.
Joy.
Lost an hour due to Daylights Saving Time, woke up feeling just generally crappy and arrr
Crab.
*Crab crab crabby crab*
A couple of ladies came in yesterday and they needed a 100 yards of tulle. o_o Haha, I was drowning in a sea of white while measuring it. Forgot it was wedding prep season.
*Crab-d-crab-crab-KH2 OR SLEEP?!*
*edit* And I should be at work right now, but I'm not because I went from kinda shaky to full crazy in about an hour. I thought I'd taken two steps forward, but they must have been to the side or something.
...annnd we're moving back to the extra meds. Yey.

Dad got me hooked on Grey's Anatomy which I try not to grudgingly admit, but still sneak around to watch episodes when he's not looking. It's a really awesome show. But ah...it scares the living crap out of me. Aliens, Vampires, Zombies, Pyschopaths and whatnot- not that scary. Sure I'll jump if something flies out of a window suddenly, but it's not going linger in my brain.
Diseases or any sort of logical threat (bombing, car accidents, yadda yadda) have me up at 3 in the morning huddling under my covers. Ahgasgjlaghajla, creeeeepyyy...;o; And like someone dies almost every episode and I'm like 'Nooooo....' and cry. Bwaaahhh hosptials..n.n;
I've started reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman since I'm almost done Pharaoh- which is the second and last novel about Kleopatra. historical fiction of course. I'm not sure if I liked Kleopatra nore of Pharoh. Both were written by Karen Essex. The former dealt with around the first 21 years of her life- up until the time where she got really entangled with Ceasar, adn then the second one covers the craziness with Anthony and up until her death. I'm like six pages from the end of book and I've been expecting Kleo to off herself for the last 50. Damn.
The writing is very, very fluid. I rarely got bogged down with all the little historical facts about battles and people and which prince/senator got his panties in a twist. There was a good chunk of the books dedicated to explaining the couple of big religious ceremonies that happened. I loved that. Religions are really interesting.
I called Rob today and got to talk to him and Diana briefly. Man, I miss everyone from school a whole lot. It gets kinda lonely up here, but I'm glad I can see friends every once in awhile. I hope Tosh-Tosh can make it up for the Cherry Blossom Festival next Saturday, because I got off work and I really don't want to wander around by myself...:/
...I should go to sleep...long work day tomorrow. But then Cold Stone ice-cream with Anne afterwards, and that's really good motivation. :3

The former was a bit silly. So edited I did.
My people skillz were in the negative today. Oh my. Good news is that Monica was really easy about me asking to have only 20 hours.
Within every halfhour KH2 again proves that it is the SHIZNIT. And I'm becoming an Axel fangirl.
....yeaaahh
I'm trying to make a new Cage Shinya cosplay for Acen. Found a glitzy black/silver fabric at G Street to blow the rest of my money on, and I straightened the old wig for re-curling. We'll see tomorrow if this method works. Straightening wigs is kinda fun. :3
Wow, what a lame attempt to salvage this post.

The Sexiest Man in NYC came into work today. Kelly and I were like ":D Awww" because he was a cutie. He's trying to win the Sexiest man in DC title tomorrow(tonight?). Cute people in fabric stores are good things.
...Tiny puppies in purses are also Very Good. Oh, god, puppy. Little puppies who go '>.> .... <.< .... ._. Why am I still in this bag? ._.'
And uh, I randomly started thinking how amusing it'd be to do a 30 second skit with Link getting mauled by a bunch of cuckoos. ...'Cause that never gets old. Srsly.
Which reminds me that I need to start crackin' on the Katsu07 skitness. ..hmm...
